Genre: Poetry Title: Love, Lust & Lunacy Author: Henry Sosnowski
Henry Sosnowski is a hammerjack in wire rimmed glasses. In Love Lust & Lunacy (3 Leg Dog Press), his honesty and passionate, headfirst play-by-play leads the reader on a private exploration of whiskey bar philosophy through the cerulean lens of a decadent scholar. Throughout, Sosnowski’s curiosity pays the reader’s close attention dividends while celebrating the uncouth minutiae we banish to the corners of our imagination.
The poet is open wide, seeking, pelting the page with lusts like last wishes that seed his carnality, in free verse brimming with the confessional immediacy of a diary selection. He finds no use for convention in the brilliant, archival “Notes Found on a Coffee Shop Floor.” Stylistically, his broken stanzas are cut with a wit used for bloodletting. His voiceprints whisper, “We are wreckage.” Sosnowski’s rhythms of speech gallop, leap and ride the reader bareback. In his |

standout piece “Pyrodancing,” Sosnowski’s sparkling alliteration and sentence sound sweeps the reader into the ravenous moment.
